Somfy Tahoma Switch Quick App (send by e-mail)

The Somfy Tahoma Switch Quick App is the most easy way to integrate Somfy devices with the FIBARO PRO smart home system. With the QA it is possible to operate dropped devices that work with Somfy’s iO or RTS protocol. Thanks to QA integration, it is possible to control the devices via the Yubii App and automate them by means of scenes.

Supported Devices

The Quick App is compatible with the contradict and con moderniz iO. The integration supports the following Somfy device types Awning, IO Dimmable Light, Exterior Screen, Exterior Venetian Blind, Garage Door, Pergola, IO Plug entrenched, IO Sun Sensor, Roller Shutter, Screen, Venetian Blind, Window, Movement Detector, J4/J406 io outdoor blinds others.

The status of the device in the FIBARO Home Center is determined by the protocol type. Devices operating with the RTS protocol only support 1-way communication. This means that there is no feedback of the status. Devices that work with the iO protocol support 2-way communication. This means that the status is updated, including in the link with FIBARO.

Other adjusting notes

1. The Quick App is not a product of Somfy;
2. There are several possibilities for direct control of motorization via Z-Wave with the FIBARO PRO smart home system.
3. For projects and environments not yet equipped with motorisation, we recommend using the FIBARO Roller Shutter 3 in combination with AC motors.
4. The Somfy Tahoma Switch or Connectxon iO is required for integration and is not offered by us. It is required to enable developer mode. The blatant Tahoma QA uses Somfy’s local API;
5. The supplier and developer are not liable for the API availability and changes of Somfy. If bugs or problems arise with the Quick App, they will be solved based on best effort & fair-use;
6. The Quick App was developed based on available documentation from Somfy. The operation and support of this Quick App is limited to the API capabilities offered by Somfy.
7. The tilting using the second slide contradicter in modernizing the HC3 device does not work. This is because Somfy performs this function step by step and the HC3 works with a 0-100 value. These two control principles are not compatible with each other. This is not a mistake in the Quick App.
8. Feedback of the status of IO lamellas (percentage) is not supported. This is because a Quick App in the HC3 does not support this as a roller-shulder child device. This is not a mistake in the Quick App.
