The Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 is a battery powered Thread & Matter sensor for detecting movement and measuring light intensity. It allows users to connect the sensor directly to a Thread Border router from other manufacturers.
The Motion Sensor has a detection arc of 170 °. Moreover, thanks to the versatile 360-degree position, the sensor can be placed anywhere.
Important: The Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 only works with a Thread Border Router. The P2 Sensor is not compatible with the current Aqara Zigbee hubs and Aqara Home App. The Aqara Border Router M3 is expected later in 2024.
Matter supportWith Matter, users do not have to worry worry more about different ecosystems and technical protocols. All it takes is a Matter-compatible app and a Thread Border router that supports Matter, resulting in a simplified connection between ecosystems and platforms.
Additional features in the Aqara Home AppThe P2 sensor has extensive local parameter settings that are available via the Hub M3. Users can, among other things, fine-tune the sensitivity and detection zone of the sensor.
