Thanks to Z-Wave wireless technology you can set additional actions that are activated through your smart home in case of an alarm. To increase safety, escape routes can be secured with automated lighting and the automatic opening or closing of roller shutters and doors. Popp smart home devices give you the time to get yourself or others to safety.

The POPP 10-year smoke detector consists of two parts:

An independent smoke detector that not only fully complies with European regulations EN14604, but also with the much more advanced VFDB 14-01 directive. This means, among other things, that the device guarantees a battery life of 10 years, is more resistant to mechanical stress and extreme temperature fluctuations, and is produced according to the advanced production standard UPC-2.

A wireless communication module with its own replaceable battery. This module fits into the module compartment of the smoke detector and provides a communication link with a central Z-Wave gateway. It reports the battery status and of course any alarm condition. The module is certified according to the Z-Wave Plus guidelines.

Additional functionalities of this high-quality smoke detector include periodic automated self-tests, dust compensation and special functions for use in bedrooms ( no flashing lights) and user-friendliness (large test button that can easily be operated with a broom handle).
